This year Sonrisa has been able to send around £9,000 to the Centre for the Working Girl (CENIT) in Quito, Ecuador. This money will be used to pay the salaries of the local teachers and other key members of staff whose vital work allows the centre to help provide education and social support.

A further £3,000 raised by Students Supporting Street Kids (SSSK) has been allocated towards paying for repairs in the electrical cabling at the centre. This necessary work will help maintain CENIT as a safe and welcoming environment for the vulnerable children it supports.
